5/23/2023 0 Comments Gear one pa2400 user manualSo any suggestions on which amps/subs (passive/active?) to get? It is recommended to use more power than needed, Im not accomplishing this by using the gear one mixer since it puts out 400watts per channel, and each speaker is rated at 400watts as well. Should i still use the gear one to power my mains? how would i go about this if i want to use the Allen & Heath mixer as my main mixer, and the Gear one just for its power? and what is the best way to do this? (although I would not mind not using the Gear One at all) Should i just consider buying passive subs, and use two power amps? one for the mains and the other for the subs? Or My questions are:Ĭan most active subs be connected to the EV 115’s? or is best done with a crossover? We bought an Allen & Heath ZED 428 mixer, and added 2 Yamaha MSR400 12” (active) to use as monitors, However, I would like to buy a power amp to power the mains instead of using the gear one mixer, and we still need subs.īeen looking into buying powered subs. We had a few practices with this setup, but we have a few shows coming up and would like for us to not have to rent any equipment. We bought this package to be able to practice ASAP and be able to upgrade later by replacing the Gear One mixer with a larger unpowered one, and an amp to power the speakers. We recently bought a bundle which included:Ģ passive Electro Voice speakers ELX115 15” rated (400 watts, 8 ohms) Hi guys, I would like some suggestions and some help.
